Windsurfing: Camber Sands - Little Maui Wind Direction: SW veering W Wind Stength: 18mph Surf / Sea State: white water inside, big swell Air Temperature: 12 degC Sea Temperature: okay Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Day one of 3 on the bounce with wind forecast coinciding with temps over
10degC.
This one was always going to be the warm up session with 18mph forecast,
but with 30mph forecasts for the following two days.
Got to Camber and Rich, Rob & Chris were already rigged, so saved myself a
walk over to check it out and rigged slightly bigger than Rich (Xmas pud
allowance ;-) taken into account)
Got rigged and headed over the dunes, and scored an okay 45 mins or so
before we got a lull. The wind swung W for a bit and went gusty, then came
back a bit. This was the pattern for the rest of the day to be honest. When
it was working you could score a decent couple of runs, then lull again.
Good practice for blubbing out I guess, but not what I'd hoped for really,
and I wasn't alone.
Good to catch up with the Camber posse again after the festivities .... but
tomorrow I need to play closer to home .... Pevensey Bay is due a re-visit
methinks :-)
